Founder, President
Cary is a three-time national Emmy Award winner with more than twenty years of entertainment, sports and commercial production experience. During Cary’s career, he has served as an Executive Producer for various network, cable, and syndicated entertainment and sports series. He founded the company himself in 1996.
Executive Vice-President, Production
Stephen is a writer/producer/editor armed with a deep knowledge in several aspects of the industry. With experience in multiple phases of production, Stephen has worked on a wide range of projects including music, sports and entertainment and has done work for many of the major cable and broadcast networks.
Executive Vice-President, Programming & Development
G is an Emmy Award-winning Producer/Editor and one of the leading AVID talents on the East Coast. With his talent for blending the creative with the technical, G is able to bring his years in the business and lessons learned to every project, edit session, and shoot.
Supervising Producer
Julie is an experienced Producer/Editor working both in the field and in the edit room. Her extensive knowledge of the production process and her passion for creating quality programming has recently won her an Emmy Award for the acclaimed documentary on the life of Lew Rudin, which also screened at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival.
Head of Business Affairs
Thorpe thinks that he learned about entertainment Business Affairs from working in the New York rock & roll concert business in the 1980s. But he really obtained his experience during the 20 years that he was negotiating agreements and resolving business issues for EUE/Screen Gems, one of New York’s largest independent television productions companies. Looking out for Tupelo-Honey’s legal and business matters for the past five years, Thorpe also functions as a key production executive dealing with the budgeting, production, and completion of projects for the company.
Executive Producer
Tony has produced a variety of series and productions including MTV’s Bam’s Unholy Union and Stankervision, Comedy Central’s Crank Yankers and the International series, David Beckham’s Soccer USA, which aired worldwide in 81 countries. He’s the recipient of both the George Foster Peabody Award for his work on MTV’s Choose or Lose election coverage and an Emmy Award for SportsNet NY’s Kid’s Clubhouse. Recently, he directed and produced Apartment 413, which won the Best Comedy Pilot prize at the 2007 New York Television Pilot Festival.
Associate Producer
Victoria’s extensive knowledge of sports and her command of research have made her an excellent asset in several areas. Fluent in Spanish, Victoria is comfortable in both the field and in a post-production environment. She has worked on a variety of productions including Sabor a Beisbol for syndication, World Championship Dominos for ESPN and ESPN Deportes, Mets Weekly and Kids Clubhouse for SNY (which garnered an Emmy nomination) and the Yes Network’s Centerstage.
Vice President, Remote Production
Ivan is an Emmy Award winning Television Executive with over twenty years of experience. Prior to joining Tupelo-Honey Productions, Ivan was the Vice President of Production at Madison Square Garden Networks where he was responsible for over 300 annual live television remotes in addition to the daily MSG In-Arena Event Presentations. Ivan is a proven and successful manager, team leader, and evaluator of talent. He is a creative producer, and a well-respected motivator, with a unique and diverse sports background and a thorough understanding of operations, strategy development, quality control, and budget management.
Based in New York City, SCP Worldwide is a partial owner of Tupelo-Honey Productions. SCP is a growing sports, entertainment and media company founded in 2002. SCP Worldwide recently purchased the National Hockey League’s St. Louis Blues and the newly re-named Scottrade Center. In addition, the company also owns the Real Salt Lake soccer franchise a member of Major League Soccer playing in Salt Lake City, Utah. Real Salt Lake has announced plans to construct a soccer-specific stadium with related entertainment elements in Sandy, Utah. The company also owns Sports Radio 700 AM The Zone in Salt Lake City and holds a significant interest in Running Subway, a live entertainment company which recently produced “Sinatra” at the Palladium Theater in London and "Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical" on Broadway. In addition, SCP recently signed a long-term marketing agreement with world-renowned soccer franchise, Real Madrid. SCP Worldwide consists of David W. Checketts, its chairman and founding member and his partners, Kenneth Munoz, Michael McCarthy, Dean Howes and Chris Bevilacqua.
